FAQ.
What was UniPig?
UniPig was a playful 2019 experiment from Uniswap and Plasma Group: a fork of Uniswap with a single trading pair — UNI vs PIGI — used to demonstrate an early Optimistic Rollup. Players picked a team and traded to push their token's price dominance.
What are UNI and PIGI?
In this game they are two demo tokens that trade against each other in a single liquidity pool. UNI is the unicorn 🦄 and PIGI is the pig 🐷. In demo mode they hold no real value.
How does price dominance work?
Dominance is derived from the pool reserves: the scarcer a token becomes in the pool, the more dominant it is. Buying a token removes it from the pool, pushing that team's dominance up. When dominance crosses 50%, the lead flips.
Are demo tokens real?
No. Demo balances, the pool and trades are simulated locally in your browser. They are not on-chain and carry no monetary value.
Can I lose money in demo mode?
No. Demo mode never touches a wallet or real funds. It is purely a game.
How do I trade the real token?
If a real-token trade link is configured (NEXT_PUBLIC_TRADE_URL), a 'Trade real $PIGI' button appears and opens it in a new tab. This project never executes on-chain swaps itself.
Is this an official Uniswap website?
No. UniPig Revival is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Uniswap Labs, the Uniswap Foundation or Plasma Group.
Where is the original source code?
The historical source is preserved at github.com/Uniswap/unipig ↗.
How is my game progress stored?
Locally, in your browser's localStorage under the key 'unipig-revival'. Nothing is sent to a server in demo mode. Progress is versioned and safely migrated across updates.
How do I reset the game?
Open the Wallet screen and use 'Reset demo account'. It clears only UniPig-related local data and starts a fresh game.
Community revival · not official. UniPig Revival is an independent community project inspired by the archived open-source UniPig experiment. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Uniswap Labs, Uniswap Foundation or Plasma Group.
